DMCA Notice & Takedown Policy

Effective Date: April 28, 2026

1. Overview

Player Index respects the intellectual-property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA", 17 U.S.C. § 512). This policy describes how to submit a copyright-infringement notice or counter-notice regarding content accessible through our websites (playerindexdata.com, api.playerindexdata.com) or through API outputs distributed to our licensees.

2. Scope — Scanner API & Image Processing

Player Index operates a centralised computer-vision scanning engine (the "Oracle") that accepts raw card photographs uploaded by third-party storefront operators via POST /scan/upload. During processing, uploaded images may be temporarily stored on Player Index infrastructure (including raw_scans and card-scans object-storage buckets) before the resulting metadata is returned to the requesting storefront.

Because user-generated imagery physically transits our servers, Player Index qualifies as a "service provider" under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c). If you believe that an image processed or temporarily hosted by our scanner infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice using the procedure below.

3. Submitting a Takedown Notice

A compliant notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) must be in writing and include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or a representative list, if multiple).
  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material, including the full URL, API endpoint, or scan-job identifier where it appears so we can locate it.
  • Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

4. Designated Copyright Agent

Send completed notices to our designated agent:

Designated DMCA Agent — Player Index

Attn: Maurice Quijano, CEO (Verdic Systems)
Mailing Address: 164 Lakeside Blvd, Hopatcong, NJ 07843
Email: admin@verdicsystems.com
Registered Agent Listing: U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Directory

Subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice

5. Counter-Notice

If material you submitted to Player Index was removed and you believe the removal was the result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3) containing your signature, identification of the removed material, a good-faith-belief statement under penalty of perjury, your contact information, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the district in which your address is located (or, if outside the U.S., any district in which Player Index may be found), plus your agreement to accept service of process from the complainant.

6. Repeat-Infringer Policy

In accordance with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), Player Index will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts and API access of subscribers or downstream licensees who are repeat infringers. Storefront operators who repeatedly upload infringing imagery to the Scanner API will have their API keys permanently revoked.

7. White-Label Storefront Operators

If you operate a white-label storefront powered by the Player Index template, you are independently responsible for implementing your own DMCA-compliant takedown process for content hosted on your Postgres database and Tigris object-storage bucket. Player Index's DMCA obligations under this policy extend only to material that transits or is temporarily stored on our central Scanner API infrastructure.

8. Misrepresentation & False Claims

Under Section 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Please do not make false claims.
